1 year anniversary of our “Building Heritage, History and Hope”

June 18, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

We can’t wait to host our 1 year anniversary of our “Building Heritage, History and Hope” exhibit that showcases Claremore’s Black History heritage. Gerome Riley and Mary Snoddy will be present to host a provocative discussion of growing up “black” in our city. We also will be discussing the importance that Native American’s as “Freedmen” play in local elections in our Native American politics. We love this picture of McNair and Mariah Riley – great, great, great grandparents to Gerome Riley who were early day Freedman. We will have refreshments for the event which will run from 4PM to 6PM on Saturday. Be sure to stop by!
