DONNA FROMAN

Long time Claremore business woman and community service volunteer

Biography

Donna Froman was born in 1942 at home in Sequoyah, Oklahoma. Born into a family with a long history in Northeast Oklahoma.  Her parents were Albert Casto Knight and Edith Gravitt Knight.

Donna graduated from Sequoyah High School in1960, where she was a cheerleader and worked in the high school office. She attended Success Secretarial Business College in Bartlesville and then went to work at City Service Oil Company for the Assistant Treasurer.   She met the love of her life, Bob Froman in November of 1961 and they married in July of 1962.


Donna and Bob had two children, Cary and Kevin who are both living in Oklahoma and involved with the family business.   Donna and her husband have been business in Claremore for over 6 decades.   Bob started Froman Service Station, but the business has expanded over the years to what is now Froman Oil and Propane Company which consolidates 9 locations, and employees over 40 employees.


Donna is a long time member of First Baptist Church and is heavily involved in our community in various aspects.   As a founding member of the Claremore Museum of History, Donna has been a board member and strong supporter that was instrumental in getting the museum started.   She is also involved in Special Education Prom for Claremore High School as the founding member to provide this activity each year, is a lifetime member of the Claremore Elks Lodge and chairs the Alumni Association for Sequoyah.   She serves as Treasurer of the WMU and loves to travel with her group of travel buddies.
