Biography
In 1960, fresh from graduating Western College of Auctioneering, Mr. Ed founded what would become one of Oklahoma’s most trusted and respected auction companies. That same year, he conducted his very first sale—marking the beginning of a career that has now spanned over six decades.
For 65 years, Mr. Ed has stood at the forefront of the auction industry. Under his leadership, Mr. Ed’s Auction Co. has grown into a company conducting several hundred real estate and personal property auctions every year. His steady hand and clear voice have not only guided countless sales but also built a reputation rooted in honesty, hard work, and community.
Mr. Ed’s influence stretches far beyond Oklahoma. He has served on the Boards of both the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) and the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association (OSAA). In 1978, he was part of the inaugural graduating class of the Certified Auctioneer’s Institute (CAI)—a program now regarded as the pinnacle of professional auctioneer education. His lifetime of contributions was recognized with induction into the NAA Hall of Fame in 1990 and the OSAA Hall of Fame in 1992.
