Lifetime Legacy Endowment Fund

Claremore Museum of History

Preserving Claremore’s story for generations to come.

A Letter to Prospective Donors

Hello Prospective Donor,

Claremore is more than a place—it’s a story. A story shaped by pioneers, the Cherokees and the Osage, artists, aviators, and everyday people who built a community we’re all proud to call home. At the Claremore Museum of History, we preserve those stories—so that future generations can understand where we’ve been and imagine where we’re going.

Every year, visitors walk through our doors and discover the people and moments that define Claremore—from the story telling of Lynn Riggs, the smooth voice of Patti Page, the wit of Will Rogers, the endurance of Andy Payne and the courage of Stuart Roosa, all characteristics of our people, all characteristics of our community.

Preserving history isn’t just about the past—it’s about the future. That’s why the board has chosen to establish a new endowment fund. This fund will make a lasting impact on our community by providing a mechanism to ensure the MoH can continue its mission of preserving Claremore’s history beyond all of our lifetimes. In conjunction with awarding Frank Robson the Lifetime Legacy Award this year, the museum is also announcing the Claremore Museum of History Lifetime Legacy Endowment Fund.

A planned gift—through a will, trust, or beneficiary designation—is a way to protect Claremore’s story for generations to come, without affecting one’s finances today.

The museum invites our partners to consider leaving a legacy that ensures Claremore’s history is never forgotten. Your gift can help preserve artifacts, expand exhibits, and inspire future generations right here in Claremore.

Several MoH board members have decided to include the museum in their estate planning because Claremore’s story deserves to live on. Claremore is more than a place—it’s a story that reminds us who we are. A story that needs to stay alive for our children and for our grandchildren. When you think about the future do you want to be part of that preservation process? Including the museum in your will is a simple way to give back to a place that means so much to us. It’s not about the size of the gift—it’s about making sure Claremore’s history is here for the next generation.

Preserving history takes care, commitment, and a vision for the future. It is our hope that many of you will join us as we invest in our future.
