Juneteenth at the MoH

June 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Claremore Museum of History is very proud to announce our program for this year’s Juneteenth Day of Freedom Celebration. New resident to Claremore, Tito Jackson will be our featured speaker.  Tito was a member of the famous Jackson Five music group and continues to perform with The Jacksons today. We’ve also lined up former Miss Oklahoma, Daneka Allen along with Destiny Life Pastor, Kendrick Oakley to serve as our moderators for the day.

We are hosting the discussion at the John Smith Gymnasium this year where we will share challenges and learnings we’ve all had through our diversity journeys. Bites and beverages will be provided at the museum following the discussion.  Cora Ross’s family choir will be performing for us again this year as well.   The celebration will be held on June 15th from 1 to 4 in the afternoon.  Mark your calendars now to come join our transparent talks around the importance of Juneteenth in our nation’s history and how we make changes going forward to right the wrongs of our past. Destiny Life and Claremore First are partners in this year’s event.

Don’t miss this once in a life-time experience.
