When Lillie Ada Thompson was born on September 8, 1891.  Her father, William, was 33, and her mother, Mary Elizabeth Riggs , was 30. She married Charles Henry Warner on July 26, 1909, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. They had two children during their marriage. She died on September 12, 1991, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 100, and was buried in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Mary Riggs, Lillie’s mother ran a boarding house in Claremore called the St. James Hotel.   It was this hotel that Lynn Riggs went to live with his aunt when he didn’t get along with his new step-mother.   Aunt Mary was the character that Lynn Riggs based his “Aunt Eller” character on in his play, Green Grow the Lilacs.
