We are pleased to announce the completion of the NASA Apollo Saturn V LEGO set by Jr. Curator Blake Stroble! Blake is a third grader from Verdigris Lower Elementary School. This specific LEGO set is 1,969 pieces, measuring over 39 inches tall, and designed for ages 14+. As a nine-year-old, Blake was confident he could build the three foot construction. Blake teamed up with us for this project in celebration of Stuart Roosa and the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 14. Upon completion of the project, Blake said, “Mission complete.” The Claremore Museum of History is planning several collaborations and partnerships in preparation for the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 14, the mission Claremore native Stuart Roosa piloted. This project is the first of many the museum hopes to accomplish in honor of Stuart Roosa.
